ABOUT THE DESIGN

The hummingbird pattern came out of my own inspiration and awe of how these little feathered friends travel such large distances for flowers. I hope you are inspired to incorporate pollinator plants into your garden. Please reference the handout included for resources and ideas of favorite plants for each species, instead of just providing sugar water feeders, so that they have a food source all growing season. By making a fabric hummingbird, I hope you are empowered to make whatever small garden space you have be a sanctuary for other living things; we can all find ways to cultivate pollinators in our backyard naturally!
